Nine years ago, Ford became the first automaker to have a significant presence at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Next week, the company makes its return, and it's bringing a special vehicle with it.
Chosen as the Official Car of CES 2016, and serving as a showcase for a plethora of new Ford technologies, the all-new Ford GT is a work of art from both engineering, and design standpoints. In addition to its active year spoiler, every slope and angle is designed to minimize drag. The twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine produces more than 600 horsepower, and the seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle gives near-instantaneous gear changes.
“Ford GT is the ultimate execution of an enthusiast supercar – we are honored Ford GT has been named the Official Vehicle of CES,” said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development. “Ford GT includes innovations and technologies that can be applied broadly across Ford’s future product portfolio – another proof point that Ford continues raising the performance bar while ultimately improving vehicles for all of our customers.”
