Versatile, advanced, safe, fun to drive. We could go on for days talking about all of the things we love about the 2017 Ford Escape and why it is the perfect compact SUV for drivers in the Darby and Ridley Park area. The Ford Escape offers the latest advanced safety features, powerful and efficient engine options, cargo space for every adventure, towing capabilities, and multimedia connectivity.

Ford Escape: Powertrain & Performance

Who said you had to choose between efficiency and power? The Ford Escape is the best of both worlds with three powertrain options. The base level engine on the 2017 Escape is a 165 horsepower 2.5-liter four cylinder with independent variable cam timing for a spirited ride. Or choose between the two available EcoBoost engines. Either a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine or a 245 horsepower 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. Both engines features Auto Start-Stop technology to help boost efficiency. The 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine also utilizes Twin-Scroll technology to maximize energy to the turbine for quick torque delivery. All three powertrain options are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with Select Shift for a sporty feel as well as  the control of a manual transmission without the clutch. No matter what engine you choose to power your Ford Escape you will always be in the driver's seat for an exciting and fun adventure.
